Sausage Making Masterclass:
6pm – 7.30pm
Start the evening with a drink and tour of the Farm Shop and find out what goes on behind the scenes, learning about our unique dry-aging process inside our bespoke Himalayan Salt brick lined aging chamber.
First, our Master Butcher will guide you through the pork that will be used to make the sausages, learning about why cuts from the shoulder and belly are used. They will then demonstrate how to make a sausage using our sausage making machine.
Next you’ll learn how to mince the pork ready for sausages. You’ll then learn about the natural sausage casings we use, and how to thread them onto the sausage making machine ready to be filled. Next, you’ll have a go at using the machine to fill the casings – this can be a bit fiddly so we’ll be on hand to help!
You’ll then be split into two teams and designated a butcher for lesson in linking sausages. You’ll then apply what you’ve learnt in a competition to see who makes the best sausages!
As the evening comes to an end, you’ll get the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
