Our native breed british beef
All of our steaks and roasting joints are sourced only from native breed British beef, selected from Angus, Hereford, Longhorn and Shorthorn cattle.
We source our beef from a range of trusted, local suppliers including Lypiatt Farm, William Gilder & Bennetts Farm.
All our suppliers allow their cattle to roam freely, grazing on lush pastures, allowing them to live as nature intended. Lypiatt Farm have a strong focus on self-sufficiency, growing their own crops to feed the cattle in winter, and have a natural spring providing fresh water for their Wagyu herd.
Our suppliers’ commitment to quality is unwavering, assuring the finest standards of beef locally, with the highest levels of welfare. The result of this is a stunning beef product, finished with superb taste and texture, great marbling and all while being reared and produced in the Cotswolds.
our lamb
At Jesse Smith, we take pride in our commitment to quality and freshness. Every week, we meticulously source the finest local lamb from the surrounding livestock markets, to ensure we always provide a product that is second to none. Our dedicated team carefully selects each cut, ensuring that only the best reaches our customers.
our pork
We source our pork from farms with only the highest standards of welfare and animal husbandry, including Plantation Pigs and Blanchard Farm. The pigs enjoy a free-range outdoor lifestyle, bathing in mud wallows in the summer and nestling into clean, warm straw beds in the winter.
Our farmers also have a strong focus on sustainability, using circular farming systems and planting trees and wildlife areas to enhance bio-diversity.
Our Chicken
Packington Free Range Chickens free roam on idyllic established English pasture, consisting of various grasses and clovers, with strategically placed perches and shelters offering shade, food and water.
Animal welfare and environmental sustainability are at the heart of Packington’s ethos. Their rigorous animal welfare techniques ensure that from one day old, to fully-grown the chickens are looked after with great care at every stage of their development; ensuring that nothing is compromised. Grass margins are placed around the fields, protecting hedges, and field corners are planted with wild bird seed and pollen and nectar mixes to encourage and protect wildlife.
our Duck
Our duck is supplied by Creedy Carver, now the largest producer of Free Range, Dry Plucked Ducks in the country.
They have strong core values where welfare is key; all of the free range ducks are reared to the highest welfare standards offering the opportunity to bath and clean their feathers as nature intended.
The ducks are fed on a low energy diet to promote a slow leisurely growth to produce a meat full of flavour with less fat on the carcase and to continue to process using a traditional dry plucked process with a hand finish.

Our venison is sourced from a selection of trusted, local stalkers, we select the best venison available according to the seasons and butcher in house to ensure only the finest cuts are provided to our customers.
